Matt was previously with Promontory Financial Group, a merchant banking firm focused on the financial services sector. He was part of the launch team at Promontory Interfinancial Network, a financial services technology platform startup which has subsequently grown to include approximately half the banks in the country. Prior to this, Matt worked for Red Hat in its Strategic Planning & Corporate Development group where he was responsible for starting Red Hat's Independent Software Vendor (ISV) Partnership Program, ultimately establishing extensive business and technology partnerships with many of the top global independent software vendors including IBM. Matt also worked at Morgan Stanley in its strategic venture capital fund, concentrating on making investments in early-stage financial services companies. Earlier in his career, Matt was a turnaround consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where he helped devise and implement operating strategies for troubled companies in various industries.
Matt is the Founder of StreetWise Partners, a nonprofit focused on providing low-income individuals with a path to a successful career through mentoring, job skills and professional experience. He co-authored a Harvard Business School case study analyzing the origins of free trade and a paper in the World Economic Outlook on the economic and political risks in the Middle East.
Matt received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and B.A. in Economics and American Studies from Brandeis University, where he was co-captain of the tennis team.

Prior to launching Contour, Bob was one of the three managing partners of Flatiron Partners. Located in New York City, Flatiron was a leading venture capital firm focused on the information technology sector. The firm backed over 50 companies with over $500 million of venture capital.
Prior to joining Flatiron full time in 1999, Bob was a General Partner at Chase Capital Partners, having joined its predecessor, Chemical Venture Partners, in 1994. Bob started and led Chase Capital's Technology and Internet investment practice. He built the technology team and portfolio within Chase Capital, which included launching Flatiron in New York City in 1996, backing Pitango Venture Capital in Israel in 1996, and launching Techfund Capital in Silicon Valley in 1997.
Bob started his venture capital career in 1988 with Prudential Equity Investors (later known as Cornerstone Equity Partners) as a generalist investor, working on venture investments and buyouts in retailing, consumer, media, business services and healthcare services. Prior to this, he was a banker for five years with First Boston and Fleet Financial.
Bob is the President of the New York Venture Capital Association and has been on the NYVCA Board since 1994. Bob has been a guest lecturer at the MIT Sloan School of Management and the Wharton School of Business for many years.
Bob received a BS from the Wharton School of Business and a MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Owen Davis

Owen Davis is a General Partner at Contour Venture Partners and previously from 2008 to 2016 was the Managing Director of NYC Seed, a seed stage venture capital fund in New York City. He also founded the NYC Seedstart accelerator.

Owen Davis is a General Partner at Contour Venture Partners and previously from 2008 to 2016 was the Managing Director of NYC Seed, a seed stage venture capital fund in New York City. He also founded the NYC Seedstart accelerator.
Owen has worked in all aspects of the online world, including work with early versions of dial up services. He created one of the first 200 web sites on-line and founded Thinking Media, an online marketing firm which pioneered online tracking of pages and advertisements. He co-founded Sonata in 1999, a venture backed wireless company that provided location-based services and marketing to cell phones. Owen also co-founded, Petal Computing, a firm that developed software which allowed large numbers of commodity PCs to act like a single unit, which was a precursor to cloud computing.
Owen is the author of various patents in Internet methods and technologies. He is also the author of the book Instant Java Applets available from Ziff-Davis Press. He is an original member of the World Wide Web Artists Consortium, and served on that group's original board. He was also an original member of the Board setting online advertising and media specifications and has served as Managing Director of the Wireless Advertising Association. Owen was named various times as one of the 100 Top Internet Executives in New York by The Silicon Alley Reporter and has also been named one of the 100 most influential people in Silicon Alley by Business Insider.
Owen received an MBA from Columbia Business School and bachelor's degree from Brown University. He is also an adjunct professor at Columbia Business School and Columbia Law School and a past adjunct professor of engineering at New York University.

Maddie Linde is a Venture Associate at Contour Venture Partners. She is currently a Product Growth Manager at LeagueApps, focused on driving expansion and growth of new revenue opportunities.
Previously she gained early stage investing experience at Idea Fund Partners and Pillar VC. At Pillar, she helped launch pre-seed companies within its venture studio. Maddie began her career in cybersecurity as a software engineer at Carbon Black (acquired by VMware). She transitioned into product management where she led the Linux strategy for critical infrastructure, helping to launch the company’s first Linux product for the cloud.
Maddie received her M.B.A. from MIT Sloan School of Management and a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Columbia University, where she was co-captain of the soccer team.
